cactus chiusura estiva

Cactus Milano takes a summer break

From August 3 to August 25

Just like sun-ripened tomatoes, we too need time to soak up all the energy of summer. From Saturday, August 3 to Sunday, August 25, Cactus Milano will be closed for a short summer break. We’ll reopen on Tuesday, August 27, ready to return with new dishes, fresh flavors, and our usual passion for plant-based and sustainable cuisine.

Mediterranean in a BBQ Key

A farewell with flavor in our hearts

We know you’ll miss our smoked babaganoush, grilled peach with tomatoes, airy meringues, and brunches full of surprises. But this short break is just what we need to recharge our creativity, discover new ingredients, and come back with even more exciting recipes. It’s not goodbye—it’s see you soon. The scent of basil and the sound of the grill are just around the corner.

Mangiare salutare a milano

Summer tips from our kitchen

While we’re away, bring a little Cactus Milano into your own kitchen. Take advantage of seasonal produce: grill your veggies, dress salads with lime and mint, blend cantaloupe with a pinch of star anise. Try making hummus with chickpeas or cannellini beans, add fruit to savory dishes, and play with unexpected pairings. Don’t be afraid to mess up—cooking is meant to be fun.

Insalta di pomodori

Simple, delicious, and light

In summer, eating well doesn’t take much. Choose fresh ingredients, preferably local, and cook them with care. Think sun-warmed tomatoes, grilled zucchini, a handful of toasted pine nuts, and a drizzle of good olive oil. For something sweet, slice some cantaloupe and serve it with fennel leaves and a sprinkle of crushed meringue. A chef-style dessert—no fuss required.

Come back with the right appetite

When we reopen, the menu will still taste like summer—but with fresh new shades. We’re working on dishes that celebrate the joy of returning: bold yet light flavors, comfort food with a twist, and vegetables in every possible form. Expect new surprises at brunch, sweet creations from Eva Galimberti, and a few grilled experiments by Alessio Sebastiani.
Until then, eat well, try new things, and have fun in the kitchen. Cooking is one of life’s simplest and greatest pleasures. We can’t wait to welcome you back to Cactus Milano—with the perfect dish for every curious palate. Happy summer, and buon appetito.
